How do I know if a social awareness group is right for my child?
Children who benefit from social awareness groups may exhibit any of the following:
- Difficulties with critical thinking
- Lack of initiation across situations
- Difficulties in processing the verbal and non-verbal aspects of social exchanges (e.g. body language, tone, sarcasm, humor)
- Decreased organization
- Difficulty understanding the perspective of others
- Inability to join a group
- Academically excels, but is unable to participate in group activities (e.g. group studies, team projects)
- Difficulty with creative thinking
Who provides these services?
Our practice is comprised of licensed professionals who have devoted their careers to childhood development. We are state licensed and nationally certified speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists with extensive experience treating a pediatric population. Today, our close-knit team of specialists puts together the best course of action for the families we work with. Then we assign one therapist to work with each child. This attentive, organized team approach delivers an incredible amount of insight, while the individual attention creates consistency and a more trusting bond. Do you offer after school tutoring?
Just Kids Learning Center offers innovative speech, learning, and occupational therapy to address an array of childhood development issues. We do not offer after school tutoring, test prep, or curriculum support.
